Getting here

St Andrew's Church is set in a quiet spot in the south-western corner of the village on Church Lane and is open daily between about 9am and 4pm. The church is simple in design but has a peaceful and prayerful atmosphere, and the congregation offers a warm welcome for those wishing to join them in the services there.

We are currently in a vacancy and so our service pattern is subject to change.  The usual pattern at present is:

On 1st Sundays the service is Morning Prayer
On 2nd Sundays we join other churches in the benefice
On 3rd Sundays there is Holy Communion
On 4th Sundays there is Songs of Praise
On 5th Sundays a service is usually arranged for the three churches of the benefice together.

St Andrew's Stanton upon Hine Heath is grouped with the neighbouring churches of Shawbury and Moreton Corbet; all three buildings were begun in the 12th Century and are open daily if you would like to visit them.

We are glad to hear from those interested in baptism [christening], marriage, renewal of vows or simply in finding out more about the Christian faith which the three churches have represented here over almost a millennium.

There is a list kept in a purple folder on the table just inside the church to record the names of people we have been asked to pray for, and you are very welcome to add other names if you wish.
