Church of England Diocese of Lichfield Stoke-upon-Trent and Fenton

All Saints Joiners Square | Hanley

The PCC of Stoke & Fenton takes its responsibility for the safeguarding of children and young people as well as vulnerable adults seriously. It has signed the House of Bishops’ safeguarding policy statement; Promoting a Safer Church.

The parish of Stoke upon Trent & Fenton is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Lichfield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

You can contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer, Dot Poggio.
Email: [email protected] if you have any concerns.

Safeguarding Training
The Church of England offers Basic Awareness online safeguarding training as well as more advanced training for those in particular positions of responsibility. Anyone participating in activities associated with the church is able to access the training and is encouraged to do so. The safeguarding portal can be accessed here.
