Stowe Village Produce Guild – Garden Guild

At our October meeting Steve Booth told us about The Fauld Explosion.

On 27th November 1944 this event produced the biggest man made “bang” ever in Europe! For more than 70 years people have wondered how it happened, so many people were involved and the devastation was vast. It seems there was a repair shop for jettisoned bombs and an accident happened when a wooden hammer was not available.

The talk was very detailed and the audience was totally silent throughout.

We meet at 7-30pm every third Wednesday of the month with guest speakers, competitions, refreshments and a sales table.
