Village Produce and Garden Guild

Stowe Village Produce Guild – Garden Guild In May Alan Williams spoke on Living with Nature by day and night. This was an absolutely wonderful evening hearing why and how Alan and his late wife bought a field for retirement. Alan gave a short history and then showed a one hour film about planting 5,000 trees, making ponds, cabin, work shed and owl boxes (with cameras), duck house and wonderful wild flowers. Since Alan's wife died the project has become a charity, so as to secure its future, it is called Tean Valley Meadow Nature Trust and has a growing membership – opening two days a week and welcomes volunteer workers.

The next meeting is our garden visit to the home of Jason & Laura Beet in Whiston, Penkridge. Please meet at the Village Hall on Wednesday 19th no later than 6-30pm for a half hour drive. Directions will be given.

We meet at 7-30pm every third Wednesday of the month with guest speakers, competitions, refreshments and a sales table.

Visitors are always welcome.
