On Tuesday 11th November the ladies of Stowe WI enjoyed a few games of Beetle drive after the formal meeting and two talks from visitors. This included a presentation by a lady from the Stafford History Centre who was asking whether any of the ladies could assist the archives service by producing map bags, to house all the documents and maps from the centre. Rachel Greaves, a WI member from Leigh WI, visited and told us all about the calendar that the ladies from Leigh WI have had produced to commemorate 100 years of their WI. It has been made in a similar way to ‘Calendar Girls’ and some of money raised from the sale of the calendars will be given to Burton Breast Unit, where some of their members and families have been patients.

After several games of competitive Beetle drive, there were two winners who won a box of chocolates each!
