After the formal part of the meeting where forthcoming trips and events for the ladies were spoken about, President Kath introduced Sarah from Grace and May Home. Grace and May home is run by 2 sisters who started the company in 2019 when they realised they couldn’t find eco cleaning products similar to the cleaning products their parents had used when they were growing up. Sarah gave the ladies a little test on recycling by asking what the different signs mean on the everyday products we have in our house. If the sign is a triangle with either of the numbers 1, 2 or 5 then it can be put straight into the recycling bin, no glossy papers will be accepted in the blue bag though! She then showed the ladies the products that they sell in their online shop, she explained that Bicarbonate Soda can be used as an all purpose cleaner, soda crystals again can be used as a cleaner and excellent at unblocking drains, citric acid is best for descaling kettles. They sell natural bleach which can help to clean toilets and as a stain remover and clean vinegar which is 5-7% acidity and again can be used as an all purpose cleaner when mixing 50g of it with 450g of water. It was a most interesting talk with all the ladies going home with hints and tips to make their home more eco friendly. Elaine gave the vote of thanks.
