Scarecrow Festival Trail 

The village of Stowe by Chartley are very excited to launch their special festival Trail of Scarecrows for the third year running. 

We are also pleased to confirm that we have had requests from Hixon residence to join in the fun this year. Anyone can participate in the competition, individuals or businesses, providing they are within the parishes of Stowe by Chartley or Hixon. Our theme is Nursery Rhymes and everyone should display their scarecrows from 8th August until 1st September 2026. 

There are two significant celebrations this year with Stowe Village Hall celebrating a fantastic hundred years of service to the community and the Best kept Village Competition also celebrating 70 years of running this very prestigious Staffordshire community competition. If these two milestone events, could in some way be celebrated in the entries for the scarecrow competition this would be amazing.
