Table Top Fundraiser Report There were some wonderful displays of crafts and produce in the village hall for people to inspect and admire at our fundraising event on the October 10th with a delightful array of cakes to enjoy and a cup of tea or coffee over a chat with friends and neighbours afterwards. It was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion, thanks to a lot of hard work by a lot of people and the PCC really appreciates their support and generosity. There was a great spirit of community involvement from villagers in Stowe and Hixon and grateful thanks go to the Village Hall Committee for waiving the hire charge; to the stallholders; to those who made kind donations; to all who came and helped on the day, especially the ladies of the WI who embraced our original idea for the fundraiser and who made and served the delicious refreshments. It was very encouraging to have this support, which in total, raised a £1000 to help us maintain our ancient church. A magnificent effort … thank you, thank you, to all concerned!
