St Peter’s Church is a cherished part of our village – a place of peace, reflection, celebration, and remembrance.

At the moment, visitors have to trek over to the Guide building – and that’s only if it happens to be open, or cut their visit short and go home. It’s far from ideal, especially for the elderly, families with young children, or anyone with mobility needs.

We want to change that. We’re not asking for a grand extension – we simply want to install an Eco-friendly,accessible Earth Toilet. These are already being used by many historic churches across the country.

Why choose to install an “Earth Toilet”?

No need for plumbing or major construction. Environmentally sustainable. Cost-effective and low maintenance. Perfect for heritage sites like Hixon Church.

Modern Eco-friendly toilets are clean, hygienic, practical, affordable, quick to install and they are kind to the environment.

Our goal is to raise £7,000 to fund a high-quality, disability-friendly Earth Toilet to relieve the anxiety that people sometimes feel when they visit Hixon Church. With your help, we can make this happen.

We know there are many rules and planning requirements to comply with – but we’re ready to take them on. What we need now is your support.

How You Can Help?

Please consider donating to our Fabric Fund. Every pound brings us closer to making St Peter’s more welcoming and accessible for everyone.

Let’s work together to revitalise St Peter’s – to make it not just a beautiful building, but once again a true village and community hub for residents of every age.

With thanks from your small but determined PCC (and yes, we’re always looking for new members!),
