We’ve set aside Sunday, 29th March as our Hixon Spring Clean this year. However, we don’t just do one litter pick

a year, but do so as a group once a month, weather permitting, the first Sunday of every month as well as loaning equipment out to individuals.

This was our effort in January which, despite the snow, Streetscene collected very quickly, as well as the fly tipping we had reported in Trent Lane.

A recent survey by Keep Britain Tidy found that 85% of people who took part in litter picks reported they made them feel pride in their area and 74% said it helped with their well-being. It certainly is great exercise.

Litter picking gets you out and about and is a good way to meet like-minded people. So why not JOIN US?

Great British Spring Clean (NB after our efforts in March we are not planning a group litter pick in April.) Sunday, 3rd May
