About Us

St Peter's Walsall is growing again: our aim is to be an inner-city church which brings hope and transformation through the good news about Jesus to the Community, College & Centre of Walsall, West Midlands. Join us to worship God, make friends and change the world!

St Peter's Walsall has a beautiful church building, built in 1841 to serve the growing local community. It has played a vital role ever since, and after some tough times in one of England's most deprived parishes, a exciting future has begun through a new church plant from nearby Aldridge Parish Church, one of the largest congregations in the Diocese of Lichfield, using support from the Church Commissioners earmarked specificaly for church growth projects. Now we're made up of young and old, families and friends, newcomers and oldtimers.

On Friday mornings from 9.30-11am in the Community Hall, we run Stay and Play – a free get together for children with their parents/carers, including breakfast, craft, games, music, songs, toys – and support and friendship.

To bring new hope to those struggling with addiction, we've set up a weekly drop-in centre with Betel of Britain, a network of Chrstian Communities which help rebuild broken lives.

We're now going forward with the presence of God through contemporary Spirit-led worship; life groups for discipleship; Alpha for evangelisation; friendship and fellowship to serve and help meet the spiritual and physical needs of the people we're getting to know.

This is just the start: with the help of the highly-regarded Eden Network, we've launched a Walsall Eden Team to live and work in the streets around the church, and are actively recruiting team members.

The best way to find out what's going on is to come and say hello There's more information from our web site: St Peter's Walsall. See you soon!
