This weekly service of Morning Prayer or Holy Communion is quieter and more traditional in style. Refreshments always follow the service, and once a month all are welcome to share lunch and a visit to support the residents of Harden Hall and the Arboretum Nursing Home.
This is a time of praise and worship with contemporary music, Bible teaching and prayer. It runs with members of St Peter's and Betel of Britain, a network of Christian communities who help restore lives broken by addiction an homelessness. It's held in the Church, and followed by the Drop-In for anyone who wants to meet people from Betel. This is a great time if you want help and encouragement but aren't sure about 'church' – do join us.
For anyone struggling with drug, alcohol or other life-controlling issues, we offer the chance to meet people who have found freedom through the life-changing work of Betel of Britain, and we support anyone who wishes to join Betel. Betel is a network of Christian communities dedicated to restoring broken lives. Please come to St Peter's Church, Stafford Street, Walsall, on Wednesday at 8.15pm. We provide a bite to eat, and a friendly, encouraging atmosphere for everyone who comes. At 7.30pm there is also a time of praise and teaching in church before the Drop-in begins; everyone is welcome to attend that as well.
This is an informal service with lively worship music and practical Bible teaching, usually with Holy Communion. There's also a range of children's activities. It lasts about 1½ hours, followed by something to drink and a chance to chat.
