Katie Lou is coming back to St John's Church to perform a night of 60s and 70s classic pop hits.

This is the re-scheduled concert that was initially postponed when Katie-Lou broke her hip in an accident. She is back fit and ready to roar into action!

The show starts at 8pm. Doors open at 7.15.

Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent.

Why not mark the beginning of Lent by joining us for our Ash Wednesday Service at 6.30pm.

We traditionally begin Lent by having a cross of ash marked on our foreheads.
As the ash is placed on our foreheads in the shape of the cross, the words are spoken:

“Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

This service is really special because it helps us to take time to stop and remember that each of us are made from dust and eventually will go back to being dust. We are therefore marked on our foreheads with the sign of the cross in ash.
�The sign of the cross reminds us that in Jesus, God himself comes to make up the distance we put between him and us as we start our Lenten journey together.

Draw Near: Life-giving habits for Lent

This Lent, you are warmly invited to join us for a quiet midweek service exploring simple, life-giving habits that help us draw closer to God.

Using the Church of England’s Draw Near Lent course, each Wednesday offers space for scripture, reflection, silence, and prayer — a gentle pause in the middle of the week.

Wednesdays in Lent at 4.00pm
Starting Wednesday 25th February
A reflective service lasting around 40 minutes
