St Alban's Church, Ashmore Park,
Please check our Facebook page for the most up-to-date information.
Since Pentecost Sunday we've been back indoors in the building. The capacity is still limited, so it will be first come first served, but the limit is higher than previously. We'll still be on YouTube at 10am. During term time, activities for children will still be in the vicarage garden, weather permitting. Watch this space for arrangements going forward.
Please find us on Facebook (@StAlbansAP) and YouTube (St Albans Ashmore Park), ring us on 01902 732317 or use the Contact Us page here on A Church Near You. For our children, we have a WhatsApp group for parents and leaders - please contact us to find out more.
The Memorial Garden is open as usual, 9am to 4.30pm daily. You are welcome to visit to tend to memorials, or for private prayer. There are several benches around the Memorial Garden and Garden of Remembrance. We ask that you observe distancing guidelines.
Ashmore Park Pantry (aka the Foodbank) has new opening times from 23rd May: 12-2 on Tuesdays and 4-6 on Fridays. Anyone living in the WV11 postcode area who is at risk of going hungry is welcome to come and collect food - or a neighbour/friend/family member can pick it up for you.
TLC stay-and-play toddler group is on Fridays in school term time, 9am to about 10:30. Please contact us for more information as we sometimes have a waiting list.
We run Messy Church weekly in school term time on Tuesdays 3:15-5pm. Please contact us to book.
No other church activities are currently taking place in the church building.
That said, we have a number of online groups for prayer and/or bible study - please contact us for details. There's also Thought for the Day on YouTube and Facebook each weekday (usually from 10am but please be patient!).
Welcome to St Albans Church. Hopefully there's something for everyone from the youngest to the oldest. Our church life is centred around Sunday worship. We long to be a Church which has Jesus at the centre, open to the renewing work of the Holy Spirit and which takes the Bible seriously, working out carefully how it all impacts on our lives today. All this influences what we do from children's and young people's groups, to our evangelism and outreach, and to our care and concern for our community.
St Alban's Church is committed to Safeguarding and has adopted the National and Diocesan Safeguarding Policies. Our Safeguarding Coordinator is Debbie Dale, and she can be contacted on 07954 197622. The Diocese of Lichfield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
