As part of our worship we continue looking at Ecclesiastes. The Teacher in the book launches his quest to find what really matters in life, that is - what will ensure he’s better off at the end of his life than he was at the start. He looks first at wisdom - what he hopes will be the key to unlocking the door to achievement; and then at the start of chapter 2 he considers pleasure - the subject that consumes our minds most, for a life without pleasure is no life at all.Morning Worship: Philip Robertson – our vicar – leads the service and preaches, Amita Sudra – a member of our PCC - reads from the bible, Brian Titton – a member of the PCC – leads us in our prayer, and Arthur Parkes plays the organ.
