About Us

St Paul's is a thriving church in the "Open Evangelical" tradition. Our church community is a wide range of ages and ethnic backgrounds. Our worship style includes liturgy but is fairly informal. We use a wide variety of music - from contemporary songs to traditional hymns.

The first reaction we get from visitors is, "what a friendly church" - we hope you'll feel relaxed and at home if you come and see us.

We aim to worship God with reverence but without being over-formal. We give special emphasis to the reading and preaching of the Bible.

Our building was built in 1982 and in 2006 was fully refurbished. It is fully accessible for those with access needs. Both the church building and the Barnabas Centre, next door, are used by the local community throughout the week for a wide range of activities.
