About Us

Our Church, with its flint Norman round tower and walls, stands at the south end of the village. A Church has stood here since 1075. Inside the Church there are many historic memorials and a wonderful organ (1857) with magnificient painted winged doors.Regular services are held and a program of events, help raise money for the upkeep of this beautiful Church. St Marys'Houghton, famous fo its Romanesque wall paintings is in the Parish and a link can be found below.

This church has just recently become part of the Diocesan Churches Trust which means that it only has around 6 services per year, usually high days and holidays, Christmas, Easter, Harvest, Snowdrop Service etc, as well as the occasional 5th Sunday benefice service. However, it is a wonderful quiet prayerful space and a beautiful little church. It is well worth a visit when you can.

Please join us for our occasional service - you will be most welcome.
