Children and Young People

The Church takes its obligations to protect Children and Vulnerable Adults very seriously and is fully committed to implement and comply with all the policies and procedures required by the Diocese.

To this end, we have appointed a Safeguarding Officer, Mrs Beverley Hollands (01892 864772) who should be contacted in the first instance by anyone who has concerns or needs to seek further clarification or advice on this important issue.

St Thomas’ Youth Group (STYG)

St Thomas’ Youth Group is for any young people in the village in Years 7 and above at school,

Cafe meets regularly in the Club Room at Groombridge Village Hall on a Thursday for games, activities and a chat together! Please see Service and Events

Meeting socially together under the church umbrella allows the young people of the village, many of who have gone to Primary school together, the opportunity to stay in touch as they go through their Secondary school years. In addition to social meetings, the Youth Group also offers opportunities for young people to explore and grow their faith.

With so much social pressure on teenagers today, Youth Group aims to offer a fun and safe friendship group. Members of the Youth Group help with Sunday School and regularly take part in Church services, some are members of the Church choir.

The youth group is run by Roslyn Thomas  Contact [email protected]
