Funerals

If someone you know and love has died, a funeral led by a Church of England minister can be held in our churches. We will be with you every step of the way to provide support and guidance at this very sensitive time.

There is always so much to think about when someone passes, which is why we strive to help in any way we can to help organise your final goodbye and make it the best experience in difficult circumstances. Funerals in the Church of England are open to all and you can have a religious ceremony. Christians believe each and every person is uniquely made in the image of God, so we offer the chance for you to celebrate all that was special about the person you knew and loved.

Your chosen Funeral Director will go through many of the details with you, such as coffin and flower options. You can also include unique details, from what people will wear and music choices, to readings and prayers. Someone from our church will be in touch to listen to the story of the person you knew, as well as go through details of the service.

After the funeral has taken place, we will still be there to support and guide you. Whether you need a place to sit and think, pray or talk, you will be welcome in our church at any time.

Your Funeral Director will get in touch with us so we can help organise your loved one’s funeral.
