Church of England Diocese of Chichester Westfield

About Us

Welcome to our churches in the East Sussex villages of Westfield and Guestling.
"Our church exists in order to worship God, to enable people of all ages to respond to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to work in love and fellowship for God’s kingdom on earth."

CHURCH OPENING UPDATE ...we are working very hard to arrange the opening of Westfield Church, for private prayer, as soon and as safely as possible. As you may have guessed there are risk assessments to write, timetables/rotas to be drawn up and procedures to be agreed. As Rev Joy says ' it's not as simple as unlocking the door'.

We need to make sure everyone is safe. We'll let you know when everything is in place to welcome you back into our lovely building.

The parishes of Westfield: St John the Baptist and Guestling: St Laurence are committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Chichester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
