Wild Flower Conservation Areas

As well as our wildlife area we have left some areas around ancient graves to grow during May, June and July. We have cut paths around and through them so that we can get close up to the flowers and the insects. A record of the flowers can be found on our website.  We also have lots of different grasses which were identified recently giving us 16 different species of grass. Our grasses are the foodplant of several Butterflies so are vitally important. We will be cutting down these areas from August onwards to make way for our mushrooms especially the Waxcaps.
