KizzyHooray Kizzy is here! Kizzy has spent this week meeting people and exploring our churches with Sandi. So far, we have been to two Harvest Festival Services at Guestling School, midweek Holy Communion and Community Hub at Westfield and Holy Communion at Whitegates too. Please do be ready to lend a hand as Kizzy works out what is kept where, and which key opens what! She is fabulous but finding your way around three new villages and churches is quite a steep learning curve. SandiA message from KizzyHi everybody! If we haven’t met already, I’m a new(ish) priest, ordained in 2021, wife to Dave and Mum to Elsie (4 next week!) and Levi (1). When I’m not at church, I love getting outdoors with the family, netball, music… and cake! I’m really pleased to be joining you for my final year of curacy and it has been great meeting you all and getting to know the four churches, thank you for your warm welcome! The popular pop-up Café Church will now be on the menu each month on the second Sunday at 9.30am and everyone is welcome. Meeting in the Church Hall this more relaxed, informal style service begins with a continental breakfast around tables. There's plenty of time to chat and enjoy good company. The band leads the singing and the Bible is explored in creative and interactive ways in the table groups.
Westfield Church Community Drop In On Wednesday mornings from 10.30am to noon in St John’s everyone is welcome to drop in for refreshments and a chat. Joanna the Deputy Clerk to the Parish Council and Sandi have the kettle on and the coffee maker at the ready to give you a warm welcome (and yes, the heating is on too so it is actually warm!). Joanna is great to talk to as she knows what’s going on in the village that the Parish Council are involved in. We hope also to create a Village Pantry where people who cannot access food banks in Hastings, because of transport difficulties, can collect groceries during the Drop In. The first couple of weeks have been good fun and we look forward to word getting around the village that this is a good opportunity to get out and meet especially as we are missing lovely Taris’. We won’t be open on Wednesday 15th February because of holidays but will be back again the following week on Wednesday 22nd Feb. We’re looking forward to seeing you soon, Sandi and Joanna.
