Pet Blessing Service

for 1 hour
St Mary the Virgin
Church Street Willingdon Eastbourne, BN20 9HT, United Kingdom

Calling all creatures, great and small!

This special service is just for you and your four-legged, feathered, furry or scaly friends!

Bring along your beloved animals and, while you’re there, make sure they “sit” and “stay” as we “howl,” “meow,” “hiss” and even “roar” our way through the hymns!

We would love to welcome animals of every shape, size and species to come and receive a special blessing. Whether they have paws, wings, hooves, scales or feathers — all are welcome!

Please share this invitation with friends, family, neighbours and anyone who has a much-loved animal companion.

Come along, bring your loyal companions, and join us for a joyful celebration of God’s wonderful creatures!

St Mary the Virgin

Thank you for visiting The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, Willingdon page, and welcome to St Mary's. We hope you enjoy exploring this page to learn about the life, worship and witness of St Mary's church.

We are an Anglican church, worshipping God and serving the communities of Willingdon and Willingdon Trees to the north of Eastbourne. St Mary's is the ancient parish church of the village of Willingdon, dating from 1100.

Whether you are looking for a church to make your spiritual home, or seeking a baptism, a wedding, a funeral or just visiting this beautiful church, be assured of a warm welcome.

We proclaim God, and seek to make known the love of Jesus, His Son, who gave himself for each one of us. In all we do, we pray too for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Our Church family is open to all as a sign of God’s overwhelming desire to share that love revealed through Jesus.
