Church on the Trees provides a welcoming space for worship, reflection, and connection. Open to people of all backgrounds, we host regular services, prayer gatherings, and faith-based events that bring the community together in a spirit of unity and support.

Morning prayer offers a way to start the day with focus, gratitude, and intention, ranging from structured Christian services.

A central Christian ritual commemorating Jesus' Last Supper, involving consecrated bread and wine, symbolising his body and blood, as a thanksgiving and remembrance of his sacrifice.

The Book of Common Prayer (BCP) Holy Communion is the traditional Anglican/Episcopal service (Eucharist) centered on taking bread and wine in remembrance of Jesus Christ's sacrifice.

Encounter is a space to meet God in prayer and praise, by singing worship songs and celebrating Holy Communion together.
Less traditional than our other Sunday service; it’s a great place to ‘Encounter’ God in a different way, particularly families and those new to church.

There will be a laying on of hands in the Ratton Chapel after the Encounter service.

Stay with us after the Eucharist to enjoy Fish and Chips together.

Compline proceeds straight after supper.

Messy Church takes place at the church hall, Church Street, from 3.00 to 5.30pm usually on the first Saturday of the month. All upcoming sessions can be found on the service and events calendar.

All are very welcome to accompany their children. We welcome parents, grandparents, carers, aunts and uncles. There’s lots of fun and fellowship as we spend quality time together. The sessions start off with fun activities, games and crafts, followed by songs and stories in church. Returning to the hall a meal is then served for everyone.

There is no charge for Messy Church.

The central Christian worship service, also called Holy Communion or Mass, where a local church community gathers to share bread and wine, remembering Jesus' Last Supper, involving bible readings, prayers, a sermon, and a final blessing, uniting believers as the body of Christ and sending them out to live their faith.

Tea and coffee served in the Church Hall after this service.

A Taizé Eucharist is a Christian communion service inspired by the ecumenical Taizé Community's style, featuring simple, repetitive chants, extended periods of silent reflection, scripture, prayers, lighting of candles, burning of incense and the core elements of bread and wine, emphasizing unity, presence of Christ, and a foretaste of the Kingdom through the shared meal, welcoming people of all backgrounds. It's known for its meditative, inclusive atmosphere, often with communal singing and a focus on God's presence through the simple act of sharing the Eucharist.
