Church of England Diocese of Chichester Worth, Pound Hill and Maidenbower

St Nicholas' Church

Everyone is welcome at all our services - in normal times, we have a variety of them - from the spoken Holy Communion (8am every Sunday) which uses ancient words from the 1662 Prayer book, to the relaxed 10.30 Thursday Eucharist. Our 10.00 “main” Sunday service lasts under an hour and is a blend of traditional music, hymns and contemporary words. Read more about what to expect from these services on our website

Worth Parish is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults, following the House of Bishops guidance and policies. View the Diocese of Chichester’s safeguarding pages for vital links, information and who to contact if you are concerned that someone has been harmed or is at risk. If you have immediate concerns about someone's safety, please contact the police and your local authority.

A quiet, contemplative start to Sunday to inspire you for the rest of the day using traditional prayers and readings from the Book of Common Prayer, spoken not sung. The poetic words, as well as St Nicholas's awe-inspiring Saxon arches, ensure you feel part of a long line of worshippers who have praised and sought God's help in this corner of Sussex down the ages.
