A wonderful blessed baptism was held on Sunday the 16th August. Twins, Ada and Edith were welcomed into the church family. May they be blessed with the Lord Jesus standing by their side throughout their lives.
The day was filled with quiet joy as folk came together to enjoy an atmosphere of prayer and meditation. Beginning with a Celtic Eucharist, a series of gospel stories followed throughout the day relating to Jesus' passion was heard accompanied by music and sensory experiences such as touch and aromas. A tasty hot lunch followed a stroll through the awakening gardens of Barkby Hall. Grateful thanks go to Sarah and Pat – kitchen angels, Phil the cook, ROOTS for suppling the vegetables and the Pochin Estate for allowing access to the gardens.
