During Advent, St George's Nine Elms Church is exhibiting a beautiful cabinet of 24 artistic creations to celebrate and anticipate Christmas Joy. This unique Advent Calendar is installed in the Studio in Art'otel, Battersea Power Station and is open to view all day every day till Christmas eve.
Alongside artist workshops and craft drop-ins, St George's - one of the churches in Battersea Fields parish - is holding Advent reflections at different times of day, and carol singing in Art'otel foyer, hoping to connect with people who live or work in Nine Elms. Everyone is welcome to join our Sunday worship. We use a mix of traditional and contemporary words, hymns and songs, and we have a sermon and take Communion every other week. For part of the service children go to their group to do some creative activities on a theme which lead into simple, inquisitive conversations about God.

Our Carols by Candlelight Service will take place in St Saviour's Battersea Park on Sunday 14th December at 6pm. This is always a special time of celebration with a sense of peace and wonder. Come to sing carols, hear the traditional readings and listen to the Christmas message. After the service, stay for mulled wine, mince pies and a warm welcome.
