Recently an inspection of St John the Baptist church was undertaken by a qualified surveyor. This happens every five years. (A Quinquennial)At the same time builders were employed for a morning to repair any deterioration that has occurred since the last inspection. This was an ideal opportunity to fix a few damp areas and clear the drainage gulleys. There is still so much to do but funds are very low. I think everyone will agree the visibility of the church from the road is improved considerably. We desperately need a few volunteers with a strimmer to regularly keep the grass in check.
