St James is the parish church for the village of Newbold Verdon. Here you will find a place of worship and community seeking to be centred around the love of Jesus.

We are a small but enthusiastic congregation who will offer a warm welcome and plenty of opportunities to meet with God and each other throughout the weeks!

As a church, we support the Trussell Trust and collect donations each week for our local Foodbank.

This is an important part of our mission and we welcome donations on a Sunday morning at the church itself. If you feel that you would like to join us in donating to people who need the Foodbank, then you would be most welcome.

A weekly coffee morning, open to all.

A free, relaxed, friendly Stay & Play group where littleness can play and explore while their adults can make friends, chat and eat cake!

The Mothers Union is an international Christian charity that seeks to support families, marriage and family life, worldwide.

Our Newbold Verdon branch is friendly, lively and active! We meet on the 2ND THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH and members gather for the MU aims in many different ways. We share refreshments, laughs and social events as well as organising fundraising events for the charity and its important work, across the world.

Our Messy Church is for both children and adults typically involves creativity, fun, learning ... and food!

Messy church runs at St James Community Hall once a month and is run by 'Churches Together' in Newbold Verdon (that is to say that our volunteers join us from across the other churches in the village and surrounding areas- because they love it too!).

A session includes a welcome, a long creative time to explore the biblical theme through getting messy; a short celebration time involving story, prayer, song, games and similar; and a sit-down meal together around tables.

All elements are for people of all ages, adults and children and are aimed at being inclusive - and they're fun!
