ASCENSION DAY - THIS Thursday 14th May - there will be a Sung Eucharist service at7pm. If you need a lift to this service please speak to the Wardens or the Vicar.

CHORAL EVENSONG – NEXT Sunday 17th May at 6pm. This will be a tribute to Dr JohnBertalot who died earlier this year. We will be singing John’s Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis, his responses, his “When I survey” and his powerful “Abide with Me”. Please join us.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT - nearly all the cards have gone from church now. Thank you to all those who have delivered them. The first follow up coffee morning will be THIS Saturday 16th May from 10am until 12noon. The second coffee morning will be Saturday 30th May also from 10am until 12noon. Please try to get to these coffee mornings to welcome everyone.

SCADS WORK DAY - the next work day will be on Saturday 16th May from 10am until 4pm. Please bob into school and lend a helping hand. There is plenty to do.

APCM - the annual parish meetings will take place NEXT Sunday 17th May after the 10.30am service.

"CALL MY BLUFF" WALK - through Sunnyhurst Woods on Saturday 23rd May with clues along the way. Meet at church at 1.30pm, £1 for a walk sheet. This can be done in your own time or as a group. All meet back at church for light refreshmentts and answers and Prizes! Please can folk help supply the light refreshments - sheet in North Aisle.

MU 150th ANNIVERSARY CHALLENGE - Every branch in the Diocese has been challenged to raise money to purchase a replacement caravan in Morecambe and for MU Grow our Impact Fund. As part of St. Cuthbert MU’s Fund-raising efforts, I am collecting sponsors for Francesca (my granddaughter) who has happily agreed to be sponsored for this cause when running in the Manchester Half Marathon at the end of May. If you would like to sponsor Frannie, I have put sponsor forms on the table by the door. Ann E
