Church of England Diocese of Oxford High Wycombe Saint James

St James' Downley

Welcome to St James. We are a friendly church who enjoy meeting together for services and for social occasions.

Our Sunday services are at 11am each week.

We also have a monthly communion at 11am on the 1st Thursday of each month.

Each Thursday morning we have our pop in for a cuppa from 10am, where you can chat with other people from the local community and enjoy cakes and coffee and tea together.

We have regular social events like Quizzes, Caribbean evenings and Ceilidh s, please see our website for more details.

"The parish of High Wycombe Saint James is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Oxford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
