Getting here

The Church of St Mary the Virgin, Little Coxwell is linked to All Saints in Faringdon.  Our vicar, Rev. Dr. Steve Bellamy joined us on 28 July 2016.

There is a service at 9 am on the each Sunday. The timings occasionally vary during festivals.  (Please see the Services tab for further details).

The service itself alternates from the traditional to modern Anglican services and is led by a small rota of preachers as well as the Vicar. All denominations are welcome. We also have Weddings and Baptisms on a regular basis, and there is a beautiful and peaceful graveyard around the church that is worth a visit. Cleaning and flowers are carried out on a monthly volunteer rota.

The Church is a 12th Century Chapel of Ease, built by the Monks of Beaulieu Abbey. It contains a number of features of historical and architectural interest, including:
* Norman doorway
* Perpendicular stine porch
* Transitional Priest's door
* Early decorated window
* 3 large perpendicular windows
* 13th Century Bell-cote
* 12th Century Chancel Arch, rebuilt in the 15th Century
* Norman door jambs of the Vestry in the north wall of the nave
* Carved wood rail of organ loft - part of a pre-Reformation Rood Screen
*15th Century octagonal font

We are always delighted to welcome visitors to look around our lovely little church. If you would like to gain access, the keys can be obtained from the Church Warden Gill Hudson 01367 244 176.
