Souldern Parish Church - Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary
STATEMENT IN REGARDS TO SERVICES DURING THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS:
Our churches are now open! But not all the time.....
St Mary's in Souldern is open for worship and private prayer on an infrequent basis.
The church is open from 10am to 4pm on Sundays and Wednesdays. Access to all areas is restricted but there are pews where you can sit and be with God. Please follow all instructions both outside and inside the church building.
Service times and details will be posted here when they are known. The next service will be during December 2020.
Please bring a slip of paper with your name and contact phone number (for Track & Trace). Please also bring a service sheet which will be emailed to you via the Benefice office. We will sit socially distanced and sadly there will be no singing; but we will listen to the organ being played. Please use the hand sanitiser at the entrance. The church may be very cold as doors need to be left open, so please wrap up warmly.
There's a lot we can't do, but we CAN worship God together.
A true village church: where you will find history, peace and a warm welcome. Details of services are on the appropriate page. The church is open during daylight hours.
If you would like to book a wedding, Christening or funeral, or for anything at all, please contact the Benefice Office on the contact details listed.
The parish of Souldern is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSOs. The Diocese of Oxford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
