About Us

St Thomas Watchfield is part of the parish of Shrivenham with Watchfield & Bourton in the Shrivenham & Ashbury Benefice.

The Ministry Team consists of the Vicar, Rev'd Norma Fergusson, who lives in Shrivenham and a House for Duty Priest/Associate Vicar, Rev'd Canon Paul Richardson, who lives in Ashbury, a Licensed Lay Minister, retired clergy, and an Authorised Minister. There are other lay members who help lead Family Worship and Morning Prayer.

We are a friendly and welcoming church offering a more traditional style of worship, using the Book of Common Prayer.

Sunday services start at 9:30am and are either Matins or Holy Communion.

The present Church of St Thomas was built in the 1800s but this was not the first as an older church was demolished in 1788.
