Church of England Diocese of Oxford Wigginton

Wigginton: St Giles

The current situation with the re-opening of church buildings and the opportunity to worship together is changing all the time so please do keep watching these pages and Facebook for more information.

St Giles' Church is now open for a limited amount of time each week for private prayer.

> Sundays from 9 am to 7 pm

We will do all we can to still keep in contact to offer spiritual care through facebook and websites.

We are all facing new challenges. Adapting to new restrictions will not come easy.

See here for various resources to help at this time.

Would you like someone from the church to give you a phone call-simply for a chat, or to discuss your needs? Jan Hughes on 01608 737900, our co-ordinator of pastoral care, and the Rector, Janet Faull on 01608 737223 would be pleased to hear from you. If there is someone else who might be pleased to know of this please pass on the message.

Be assured of our prayers and we hope you all keep well. Revd Janet

The church of St Giles, Wigginton dates back to the 13th century and is built from local ironstone.

Regular services are an 8am Holy Communion on the 2nd Sunday of each month and a 6pm Evensong on the 3rd Sunday, both using the Book of Common Prayer.  Please see the Calendar for additional services.

The mission of St Giles is to provide a Christian haven at the centre of the community, working with our sister churches, to be responsive to the spiritual needs and preferences of all those seeking spirituality, reassurance and companionship.

We take Safeguarding very seriously. If you have any concerns, for the safety of yourself or for another, please contact the Safeguarding Officer, Helga Disney, on 01608 730456 or by emailing [email protected], or alternatively contact Revd Janet Faull (Rector) on 01608 737223 or [email protected] Our safeguarding policy can be viewed via the link
