UK-based Italian photographer Daniele Marzeddu will hold a launch event for his international project Films of Sicily and Sardinia at the Festival.
The 4th of January marks the anniversary of D.H. To mark Lawrence’s legendary journey across Sicily and Sardinia, Daniele will be hosted at the Festival for a recital taken from his own Films of Sicily and Sardinia (Edizioni Low, 2024, ITA/ENG), which includes an original soundtrack composed by Venetian artist Michele Bertoni.
Films of Sicily and Sardinia is an invitation to wander across islands that remain as fascinating and mysterious today as it was when the English writer first explored them in 1921.
The project has toured across Italy (Rome, Florence, Bologna, Cremona, Piacenza, Venice, Cagliari & Sardinia), UK (Southend-on-Sea, Exeter, Sheffield, Barnet, Nottingham, Milton Keynes, Northampton) Portugal (Madeira), Malta (Gozo), France (Paris) and Albania (Tirana).
