Welcome

Message from Steve our rector 26th December 2020

Hello everyone

I do hope that you have been able to have a good Christmas day, it was somewhat quieter this year but still special.

As you are all aware we are in the position that we are currently dealing with a much more virulent strain of the virus which seems to be more communicable than before.

In light of this and the fact that the government has put us in the highest category of threat which they have labelled 'stay home,' we have made the decision that as of today we will be returning to our online provision only certainly for the next few weeks, at least until the end of January.

We do not make this decision lightly, but do so with the welfare of all in mind.

We pray that the immunisation program will bring this situation to a swift end and we can once again return to the warm fellowship we all crave.

Our services will look like this, Starting on Monday the 4th of January

Monday, Wednesday and Friday ; morning prayer 08.30 for about 15-20 minutes

Sunday 10.00am ; a service of the word suitable for all, about 40 minutes with time to chat afterwards

Wednesday evening 19.30-20.30 will be church night...

1st Wednesday of the month we will be looking to do a central prayer meeting online

2nd and 4th Wednesdays will be bible study

3rd Wednesday will be quiz night!

if we get to have a 5th Wednesday we will look to do something special...

For all of our zoom services here are the access details

Meeting ID: 761 8519 1744

Passcode: 937574

By Phone dial 0203 481 5240

We will also be opening the Church building on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 10.00 until 11.00am for private prayer.

We will also be producing a thought for the day every Wednesday which we will aim to deliver with the weekly leaflet, and publish here online...

Finally, we need to look after one another, we have done this before, we still have hope in the future, 2021 will be better than this one, keep the phone calls going, keep the zoom meetings, keep the prayers going, together we will emerge stronger than when we started with the help of our Saviour Jesus.

Our Prayer Tree Network has been set up whereby one request for prayer, to Sue, will result in many members of our congregation praying into that request. Requests can be e-mailed to [email protected]

On the Service Page there is an outline of a simply Daily Worship service , it contains prayers and readings that you can say at home.

God bless all

Steve
