St John the Baptist is our patron saint and his principal feast day, 24 June, celebrates his birth (Luke 1.5-25; 39-45; 57-80), his second feast, on 29th August, commemorates his Beheading at the hands of King Herod (see Mark 6.17-29).
There will be a Eucharist at 11am on Friday 29 August to mark the day and ask the intercession of our Patron Saint. "Come, let us adore the Lamb of God: St John went before him in his passion"

Croydon Minster is an open church in spirit and practice: everyone is welcome.

The heart of this place is our worship, when we open ourselves to God in word and sacrament on Sundays, and day by day, enriched by the music of the Anglican choral tradition.

We keep this historic building open during the day as a place where people can come to pray, sit, rest or just ponder and be still.

We are honoured to serve the civic life of Croydon and to be the place of many baptisms, weddings, funerals and other occasions for the people of our town.
