Stations of the Cross

Occurring
Every Thursday at for 45 mins
Venue
Croydon Minster
Address
Croydon Minster Church Street Croydon, CR0 1RN, United Kingdom

As we move through the season of Lent, we are invited to slow down and reflect on the final journey of Jesus. The Stations of the Cross offer us a prayerful way to walk with Him, from the hall of Pilate to the hill of Golgotha.

At the Minster, these stations are more than just art on the walls; they are "stopping places" for the soul. By pausing at each station, we bring our own burdens, our city's sorrows, and our world’s hopes to the foot of the Cross.

Croydon Minster

'Living faith in the ancient heart of Croydon'

Croydon Minster is an open church in spirit and practice: everyone is welcome.

The heart of this place is our worship, when we open ourselves to God in word and sacrament on Sundays, and day by day, enriched by the music of the Anglican choral tradition.

We keep this historic building open during the day as a place where people can come to pray, sit, rest or just ponder and be still.

We are honoured to serve the civic life of Croydon and to be the place of many baptisms, weddings, funerals and other occasions for the people of our town.

Safeguarding

The Parish of Croydon is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Southwark’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Denise Mead [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor https://southwark.anglican.org/safeguarding/contact-the-team/. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
