Welcome to St Mary's West Somerton! We are a small village church in a rural village. The church is open each day in daylight hours and visitors are welcome to enjoy the peace and quiet of our beautiful ancient church building and churchyard.
We have a service of Holy Communion on the 2nd Sunday each month and a service of Family Morning Worship on 4th Sunday each month.
We are part of The Flegg Parish Churches Team Ministry.
Our parish of West Somerton: St Mary is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Norwich’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSOs Cheryl Lowe on 07906 199808, Karen Watts on 07775 409478 or Linda Jones on 07795 964560 or [email protected] or the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
