About Us
St Peter’s is an open and inclusive worshipping community where all are welcome. This town centre church is open daily for prayer and quiet reflection and is a centre of peaceful stillness appreciated by visitors and locals alike.
The liturgy and worship at St Peter’s are formal but the atmosphere informal; we seek to be a place where all can explore and deepen their spirituality and relationship with God in a friendly environment. The Church itself is a beautiful medieval building with rich historical associations with the town and individuals such as Rev. John White and Thomas Hardye.
