Anyone who would like to join a small working party to help tidy up the church grounds, is very welcome. Please bring gloves, any tools and also appropriate clothing on the day, refreshments will be provided.

Buttsbury Church

Welcome to St Marys Buttsbury. Buttsbury Church between Billericay and Ingatestone is open every day to visitors who come and enjoy its peace and beauty. It is also the church of a worshipping community drawn from all around. 

Services are BCP Holy Communion on the first Sunday and agricultural usually on the third.

The church sits in the middle of the countryside. As there is no electricity, all services are candle-lit. Sorry there is no toilet or running water.  Park on the road outside or on the small grassed parking space if open.
