About Us

Celebrating 130 years of Faith, Hope and Charity in Leytonstone, St Andrew’s is a place of friendship and local community and enjoys the rich and more formal catholic liturgy of 2000 years of Christianity.

It is a place to share difficult questions in preaching and teaching from the Bible rather than easy answers, and we seek to give a warm welcome to all people, irrespective of race, age, gender, physical and mental ability, sexuality, and way of life.

The Church is a grade II listed building designed by the Victorian architect Sir Arthur Blomfield and was built in the late 1880’s. In the 1970’s the west part of the nave was partitioned to provide a church hall, but the east part retains many of its original features and elegance.
