About Us

The Church of the Holy Innocents, built around 1140, is one of the only three Norman round tower churches and is Grade 1 listed. The tower was capped in the 19th century by a typical Essex spire. Inside you will find fragments of wall paintings, a delicate 15th century screen and the remains of some steps to a roodloft and...well why not come and join us and see for yourself?

The parish of Lamarsh: Holy Innocents is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Chelmsford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
