The Trustees of the Pleshey Church Building Trust are pleased to announce that Ian Shaw will be returning to Pleshey to perform for us in Pleshey Church on the evening of Friday 15th June 2018. The evening will start at 7pm with drinks, and Ian will perform from 8pm.

Tickets are now available (at £20 including a glass of wine and canapés) and given Ian’s reputation they are selling fast, so please contact John Bloomer to secure yours (phone: 07711 597447; email: [email protected]).

Those of you who remember the last time Ian performed for us in Pleshey, in June 2015, will know what an amazing talent
he is and what a great evening we all had.

This will be a benefit performance and all proceeds will go to the Pleshey Church Building Trust, set up in 2005 by a group of Pleshey villagers as a registered charity to preserve our Church in Pleshey for future generations.

And for those who don’t know Ian Shaw, he is a world-renowned jazz singer and pianist, twice voted “Best Jazz Vocalist” at the BBC Jazz Awards, and is a popular performer at top jazz venues both in the UK and the US. Ian has already amassed a number of successful internationally released albums, including his latest highly acclaimed album “Shine Sister Shine” which was released at the end of 2017. Ian is not only a talented singer and pianist but is also an engaging personality and witty entertainer and hosts the International Ronnie Scott’s Radio Show on Jazz FM every Saturday. He has been cited, along with Mark Murphy and Kurt Elling, as one of the world’s finest male jazz vocalists.

It is a privilege that Ian is coming back, so please keep the date free in your diaries and come and join us for a great evening of entertainment in our village.
