Christ Church, Southend

In early 2021 both Christ Church Southend and St John’s Southend agreed to undertake a Church Revitalisation Project. A group of church members from St John’s and St Michael’s Westcliff committed to join Christ Church on this new adventure, which is an exciting new chapter in the life of the church. In March 2022 they joined those currently worshipping at Christ Church to reimagine ministry for a new season.

We launched this new adventure on Sunday 20 March 2022

Our heart is to grow the church and reach a new generation for Jesus, creating a welcoming and engaging place for people at all stages of life to feel at home and part of the family. As part of this we aim to provide excellent Sunday morning children’s work where children are nurtured in their faith and build lasting friendships.

Alongside St John’s Southend and St Michael’s Westcliff we carry a city-wide vision for the revitalisation of the church in Southend.
