Monday evening, the 9th September 2019, saw a full church gather to witness the licensing of our new Priest in Charge , Fr Reid Humble, by the Lord Bishop of Chelmsford and his installation by the Archdeacon of Southend. Among the congregation gathered were the Mayor & Mayoress of Southend, Local Councillors and representatives from local schools, our local Police, youth groups, local businesses, and other faith groups. The Evening culminated in a reception held in the church hall where the ladies of the church had excelled themselves as usual by producing a buffet for all to enjoy. It was a joyous and uplifting occasion, and we hope it will mark the start of many happy fulfilling and fruitful years amongst us for Fr Reid.
