‘Coggeshall And United Parishes’.
The acronym CAUP in archaic English means: ‘A gift given to ones' master in return for ones' keep and protection’.
So a more up-to-date interpretation would be: ‘We are a gift and we offer ourselves to God and in Service to our Parishes'.
