Christingle Service

for 1 hour
St Andrew's Walthamstow
St Andrews Road Walthamstow London, E17 6AR, United Kingdom

A joyful and meaningful celebration for all ages, centred around the Christingle — a simple symbol of God’s light in the world. Through story, song, and candlelight, we explore the hope of Christ’s coming and the love that holds us together. Children and adults alike take part, creating Christingles and sharing in a moment of brightness in the midst of winter.

It’s a warm, family‑friendly service that brings our community together and reminds us of the light that Christ brings to every corner of life.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Walthamstow: St Andrew (Higham Hill LEP) is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Chelmsford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Christine Ramkissoon on 07847 142144 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (see below). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
