Morning Prayer and Holy Rosary for the feast of St Thomas Aquinas

Occurring
for 45 mins
Venue
St Michael & All Angels
Address
Northcote Road/Palmerston Road WALTHAMSTOW, LONDON., E17 6PQ, United Kingdom

We will celebrate the extraordinary life of St Thomas Aquinas, a Dominican friar and priest, who was one of the foremost philosophers and theologians in the western Church. His major contribution was the doctrine of natural law which he thought was accessible to human reason, and grounded in our very nature, thus giving the basis for individual rights and moral duties. He was influenced by Aristotle, and is considered one of the most influential thinkers in the medieval world, with his philosophy and theology resonating into the modern era. He is also famous for his eucharistic hymns, such as 'Of the glorious body telling' , 'The heavenly Word proceeding forth' , 'Thee we adore, O hidden Saviour, thee' which we regularly sing. All are welcome either in person or on the livestream to celebrate his life and witness.
